The County Assembly of Mombasa has officially resumed its regular sittings following a recess that began on 3rd, December 2025, in accordance with Standing Order 25 (3) of the Mombasa County Assembly.

Presiding over the session, Hon. Fadhili Makarani commended Members for their patience, urging them to return energized to fulfill their constitutional mandate.

Top on the agenda was the County Fiscal Strategy Paper (CFSP), expected to be tabled on February 28 and approved by March 14. Hon. Fadhili directed Committees to fast-track pending legislative and oversight work, including the Mombasa County Revolving Fund Bill, 2025. The bill proposes a zero-interest credit facility and technical support for Micro and Small Enterprises, aiming to strengthen community-driven economic growth.

With the Assembly entering the final phase of its term, Hon. Fadhili called on Members to prioritize impactful legislation, effective oversight, and service delivery. He also extended warm wishes to Muslim faithful ahead of the holy month of Ramadhan.

The session closed with an appeal for unity, integrity, and decorum in debate as Members continue serving the residents of Mombasa.
