The County Assembly has reinforced its oversight mandate today with the tabling of several critical reports during the morning sitting. The Leader of Majority Party, Hon. Athman Mwamiri, presented several documents before the House, covering public participation, financial accountability, and institutional performance.

Among the reports tabled were:

โ€ข The Public Participation Report for the Mombasa County Revolving Fund (2025)

โ€ข The Quarterly Report (Q2) for the Financial Year 2025/2026 from the Mombasa Investment Corporation (MIC)

โ€ข Auditor General reports on Mombasa Water Supply and Sanitation Company Ltd, Tudor Sub-County Level 4 Hospital, Port Reitz Sub-County Hospital, Likoni Sub-County Level 4 Hospital, and Mrima Maternity Level 4 Hospital, spanning financial years ending between 2022 and 2025.

The Quarterly Report for MIC was referred to the Committee on Finance, Budget and Appropriation for review while, the Auditor Generalโ€™s reports were committed to the Committee on Public Investment and Accounts for detailed scrutiny.

Speaking after the tabling, Assembly leadership emphasized that these reports are vital in ensuring transparency, strengthening financial oversight and safeguarding public resources. The Assembly reaffirmed its commitment to holding institutions accountable and ensuring service delivery meets the needs of Mombasa residents.
