𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐮 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐮𝐦 𝐌𝐞𝐫𝐮
𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝟐𝟒𝐭𝐡 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓
The County Assemblies Sports Association (CASA) is hosting the 6th Edition of the sports and cultural bonanza from 22nd to 29th November, 2025 in Meru County.
It was pomp, colour and fanfare as the 47 County Assemblies gathered at Meru County Assembly to begin a procession to Kinoru stadium for the official kickoff of the 2025 edition of CASA Games themed “Strengthening legislative bonds through sports and culture”.
The procession was led by the Kenya Police band followed by the teams in numerical order from 001 (Mombasa) to 047(Nairobi). Each waving their flag and a banner.
The marching band added a rhythmic pulse, drums and trumpets reverberating like heartbeats of unity through the streets of Meru to Kinoru Stadium.
Subsequently each team marched past the podium to the Meru Governor’s H.E. Rev. Isaac Mutuma M’ethingia salutation. In his opening remarks he said “Today, we gather not as rivals but as brothers and sisters, bound by sport and the spirit of devolution ”. He went on to applaud the teams for their participation, welcoming them to Meru County and urging them to feel at home as he declared the games officially open.
A ceremonial kick-off by way of a penalty kick by the Governor set the ball rolling, and the first football match began.
